Peachtober 2025
Autumn has arrived, and with it comes one of my favorite traditions in the art community…the Peachtober challenge.
Thirty-one daily prompts, a new drawing a day, which can feel like a huge undertaking. Endless sketching sessions, overflowing Pinterest boards, and that familiar hesitation of “What if I come up with a better idea later?” It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but these challenges have a way of pushing us to grow and develop within our medium, plus it’s a great way to discover new artists!
Last year, I took part in an October challenge which actually helped me refine my signature style. Before then, I often received comments comparing my work to other artists; by the end of the month, people began recognizing my pieces for their unique style. Which was such a joy!
This year, I decided to focus on something new and test my skill in layouts. I usually center my work around a single subject and (I’ll admit it) tend to skip the background entirely. Since my long-term goal is to create my own graphic novel, I wanted to improve my storytelling through page composition. I’m also exploring editorial illustration, where strong layout and narrative skills are just as important, so need to develop my skills in these.
I’m proud to say I completed all 31 and I’m excited to share the full collection below, hope you like them!
